A Different Kind of Coach
I've never liked the term “Coaching.” Don't think of me as just another life or business coach....But I AM willing to be your Shepherd.
The sheep, in metaphysical allegory, represent the thoughts of the mind. Coaching, to me, sounds too athletic. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, but it conjures up an image of someone who tore their ACL and can no longer compete, so they've relegated themselves to an advisory role because they can no longer physically keep up with the young guns. That's not my role. I'm here to guide you, to help you uncover the answers you likely already have within you.
Most of us are simply too close to our problems, whatever they are. My role as your Shepherd, is to guide your thoughts through the thicket of overgrown foliage blocking your true path. On some level, my only task is to assist you in opening your eyes to see the forest for the trees. Allow me to re-frame your issues and hang-ups into digestible and task-oriented steps, bestowing upon you the confidence and distilled wisdom to finally Walk your preferred Path.
To use another metaphor, you are the one traversing this thick jungle brush of life. When you solicit Shepherd sessions, you're purchasing the sharp machete you need to cut through the obstacles blocking your Path. Could you make it through without the right machete? Probably, but it's going to be slow-going. The right tool makes any task easier to navigate. Allow me to be the tool you need. In the end, it will still be your arm swinging that blade and stepping forward onto your Path, but I can save you precious time that you know would be much better spent actually Walking that Path. Invest in the proper tools.
